The Web - The triumph of a New Zealand girl over anorexia
Furley, Deborah
Notes
Deborah Furley is the pseudonym for a young girl who lives in a provincial New Zealand city and whose true identity cannot be revealed. Her diary, written in 1986-87, is a stunningly powerful and tragic account of how she lived with, and finally overcame, anorexia nervosa, the starving disease which has become a major problem among teenage girls, often with death as its final outcome.
