Translated by J. Alison James. Nell has always longed for a pet, and when her parents give her a guinea pig she loves him instantly. He's warm and cuddly and full of fun. Nell calls him fluffy. Then, when Nell moves up to big school, some of the other children tell her that guinea pigs are for babies. UpsetNell decides she needs a more grown-up pet, like a dog or a cat, but she's sure her parents will say no, because she already has fluffy.
