Our society is increasingly made up of people who have migrated from their homelands and who bring their own cultural traditions and practices with them. Concentrates on the people of India - those who live in India and those who live in New Zealand. Looks at their customs, traditions, diversity, identity, perceptions and values. Includes questions and activities. Focuses on level 4 of the curriculum and covers two achievement objectives: why and how individuals and groups pass on and sustain their culture and heritage (culture and heritage), and why and how people find out about places and environments (place and environment). Suggested level: intermediate, junior secondary.
