Helen Keller - In their own words

Sullivan, George

Notes

In 1882, when Helen Keller was almost two years old, she became both blind and deaf as the result of an illness. Even though many thought it was impossible, Helen learned to read and write with the help of her teacher, Annie Sullivan. Later she wrote books and gave speeches about her life.
