Summary: Tom and Cass are twins. For years when they were smaller they used to hide and play in their secret den in the old ice-house. Everyone changes: Cass, Lisa the farmhand's daughter that Tom finds himself having strange feelings for. Even Jamieson the weird farmhand with a taste for the suffering of others isn't all that he seems. Forcing his way through a thicket of appalling misunderstanding Tom sloughs off his childhood naivete and begins his own process of change.
